Complete list of State Universities and Colleges Covered by Zero Tuition Fee in 2017

After President Rodrigo Duterte sat down as President, the plan of having zero tuition fees for state universities and colleges was one of his prioritized plans. The Philippine government and a few more organizations apportioned funds for the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) which will enable students in selected states and universities not to pay for anything for their tuition fees.

P8.3 billion was the amount granted to CHED to make this possible. This amount was from the P3.35 trillion Philippine budget assigned to the Congress. P5.8 billion from the budget is the one to aid the continuation of financial assistance programs: PAMANA Study Grant Program, Iskolar ng Bayan, Tulong Dunong Program, and scholarship opportunities for children of farmers and sugarcane workers.
